Pilates is an excellent way to maintain physical functioning as you age. Studies show people who live past 100 typically experience a prolonged sense of purpose in their lives, which increases the likelihood for them not only aging better but also enjoying other aspects on wellbeing including being able-bodied and feeling fulfillment from everyday activities.
Group
Classes
These are not your typical Pilates Classes. Maximum class size is up to 4 people, ensuring personalized care and attention. Every class is unique you will be working on state-of-the-art equipment creatively flowing from the Reformer to the Springboard ensuring you never experience the same class twice. Strengthen and lengthen your entire body while taking your balance and coordination to the next level.
Private Training
Private training sessions give you the attention and. personalized care that is so often missing from public workouts. Don’t let an injury hold you back.The goal is to safely help you get back to every day active living. This option works well for those who need extra care and or has an injury (shoulder, hip, spine, knees) or with a neurological condition, mild scoliosis, osteopenia and more.
Pilates Benefits
Attention to core support and full-body fitness, including the breath and the mind, provide a level of integrative fitness that is hard to find elsewhere. It is also a reason that Pilates is popular in rehab settings, as well as with athletes who find that Pilates is a great foundation for any kind of movement they do.
Over the past 3 years I’ve been taking group classes and privates with Jenn Nurse. She is an expert in Pilates and focuses on proper form to maximize benefits. She helped me build overall strength by challenging me during our workouts while at the same time making sure that I didn’t injure myself. Thanks Jenn for motivating me and helping me become stronger, you are an amazing teacher!!
I started working with Jenn after a 7 year hiatus from pilates. I had been concentrating on body building. Jenn helped me unlock the tightness in my body. Even with a decade of pilates experience, Jenn’s cues and expert eye increased my consciousness about form. I feel stronger, increased my flexibility, and always felt encouraged. Jenn is an amazing instructor and a fantastic coach!
Jenn is by far one of my favorite Pilates instructors. She is knowledgeable, creative, inclusive and is always ready with variations or modifications for any levels or body types. She makes working out fun and has a great sense of humor! She is also ready with trivia to get you through the tough parts!
Jenn is a superb Pilates instructor. Her cues are excellent and targeted at achieving the correct form and activation of the targeted muscle group. Her classes are always changing – it’s never the same class or series of exercises so you are constantly learning and fully engaged. She quietly provides corrections to make sure you are getting the most benefit from each class and intuitively seems to know when to get you to dig just a little deeper and achieve more than you thought you could. Her instruction had a real impact on my strength, flexibility and balance. Jenn’s experience and enthusiasm for Pilates shines through, making her the perfect instructor.
